“Portugal very likely now offers some of the greatest wine values on the market today,” writes Wine Spectator’s Matt Kramer. And when you taste the floral- and citrus-flavored Portinho do Côvo Branco, you’ll see what he means.
To craft this dazzling white, renowned winemaker Jaime Quendera headed to seaside vineyards on the Península de Setúbal, where brilliant sunshine and cool ocean breezes help the grapes ripen to perfection. There, he selected three native varieties—zingy Verdelho, Fernão Pires and Antão Vaz—for this special cuvée.
The results have been impressive… Structured yet elegant, and oh-so-crisp, its lemony, honeysuckle-accented palate has earned previous vintages gold galore from the China Wine & Spirits Awards and the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition.
It’s a vibrant match for white fish, lentil salads and more.
