Pizza and pastas (esp. with red sauce), steak, veal, dark-meat chicken, barbecue, lamb, aged cheeses.Beyond the Label
The Barbanera family has done it again. Their sumptuous Super Tuscan red, Vecciano, is truly super in every sense, with ripe black fruit notes and gentle vanilla tones that are near-impossible not to love.
It’s a classic blend of Tuscany’s hero grape––ripe, red-fruited Sangiovese––and deeply flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in fine French oak to add layers of luscious spice and create a silky-smooth texture. No wonder previous vintages have been favorites of customers and critics alike.
In the glass, you can expect ripe plum and black currant flavors, balanced by complex baking spices and earth across a long, satisfying finish. A delicious sip on its own, and a great match for hearty pasta dishes or a thick cut of steak.
