Previous vintages have racked up more medals and international awards than we can remember, but we really knew the wine was special when customers started to call the winery any time we've run out.
Then again, that’s just the kind of devotion The Black Stump inspires, or as Alan Kennett, the original winemaker, says, when you blend Durif (aka, Petite Sirah) with Shiraz, “magical things happen.”
These days Alan's former apprentice David Joeky is the talented winemaker behind the bottle, and it continues to impress customers just as much. Durif brings power, structure and chocolatey, blueberry flavors. Shiraz adds more oomph and spicy bramble notes. And it all amounts to a ‘black magic’ blend that flies out of our cellars in record time. Hurry for your share.
