If you love the supple elegance of fine Left Bank Bordeaux, Le Serret will charm you from the very first sip. A contemporary take on an Old World style, it brims with dark plum, blackberry and licorice notes, lifted by subtle notes of mint and spice. This is Bordeaux––but maybe not as you know it. And you have exclusive access.
The wine hails from the Haut-Médoc, one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious appellations, situated on the Left Bank of the Gironde River. Home to noble châteaux and famed gravelly soils, the region produces some of the most elegant reds in France.
It also hails from the 2021 vintage, a year praised by Decanter for yielding wines of “charm, energy and … ultimately drinking pleasure.” A cooler growing season meant grapes ripened slowly, concentrating vibrant fruit flavors and aromatic complexity. The result? A Merlot-led blend that’s both graceful and full of character.
In the glass, you’ll notice a ruby hue and enticing, nuanced aromas of cassis. The palate is gorgeously rounded, with smooth tannins and a long, satisfying finish. It’s a top choice for steak, pork, duck and roasted vegetables.
Enjoy it now for its fresh, easy-drinking style, or set a few bottles aside to mellow. One thing’s for certain…make room in your wine rack––you’ll want more than one.
